Orin D. Hall Obituary
Mr. O.D. Hall was born July 17th, 1837, at Phillipsville, Canada. He removed with his parents to New York state, where he soon lost his father. At the age of fourteen, he united with the Baptist church. His mother having again married, he came with his parents to the old Elmer farm in this township.
After having spent six years in California, on his return he was married to Miss Julia Wheeler. To this blessed union were born two sons and one daughter. His life was spent as a traveling salesman.
For the past two years, we know him to have been a constant sufferer, all of which he bore with fortitude and patience. He was a kind father and a loving husband, always having the care of his loved ones uppermost in his mind. We learn from his mother that in his last sickness, he had received the forgiveness of God and peace of Jesus, and was ready for the great change, and he fell asleep at his house, Milliard Ave., Chicago, Jan. 12th, 1895, aged 57 years, 6 months lacking five days.
Funeral services were held at the home of Geo. Greenwood, Waterman, Ill., Jan. 15th, 1895, conducted by Pastor F.A. Case.
