Notes |
- When they were children, Daniel Reed and Cinda Meigs lived on the frontier, in the wilds of western New York. Within a few years of their marriage, and Daniel now a doctor, they picked up their young family and moved to the new frontier, the edge of the Mississippi. There they both developed reputations among their fellow pioneers as hard-working and creative healers. Except for a few temporary moves to other towns, they lived and prospered in Fulton, Illinois, with six children and 12 grandchildren. Daniel died at age 78, Cinda at age 92, alert and gracious.
