Name:
Ruth's maiden name has been given as "Doty" among Bedell genealogists, but I have not found a citation to back this up. I also have not found a Ruth Doty born c 1761.

Ruth disappears from the Canadian records after her husband's death. If she remarried, a likely name is "Wager," as that was the last name of the next owner of Daniel's farm.
